The Rec Department has been adding new programs to the calendar every year. We have been working with the Ardsley School District to run programs with the students. Upcoming events are listed below.  If you have any suggestions & ideas, please call (914) 693-8012 or

Village of Ardsley 5K Race:  [In Fond Memory of Jack Degnan]
Sunday May 5th - Start & finish at Concord Road Elementary School. 
Check in at 9AM, Race runs 10AM to 12PM.  Fee is $25.
 
Food Truck Friday:  Friday May 10th at Pascone Park from 5 to 9 PM
Fireworks!  Live Music!  Activities for Children!  ...and Food Trucks!

NEW!!! Intro to Pickleball: Join our Intro to Pickleball program: a mix of instructional lessons for beginners and free play for any pickleball player. The basketball court will be turned into a pickleball court. Paddles, pickleballs, and nets provided.
Mondays & Thursdays - March 11, 14, 18 & 21 at the Pascone Park Basketball Court
Grades 6 to 8 from 4 to 5 PM

NEW!!! Pre K & Kindergarten Soccer:  Take the first steps into soccer, offering an accessible and enjoyable learning experience. Led by experienced coaches, we focus on fundamental skills in a positive and supportive environment.

NEW SESSIONS!!!  Acting Classes: Do you act?  Do you want to? 
Do you love stories and characters and want to build confidence?
These age-appropriate classes will explore exciting and invigorating acting fundamentals
through group exercises, theater, games, improvisation, monologues and text analysis.
Presented by:
Ardsley local Karron Graves, MFA Yale School of Drama, BA Princeton,
Broadway/Film/TV veteran with over 25yrs experience
Fee: $200 Ardsley Resident, $220 non-Resident

Zumba and Toning: A new adult fitness program that combines Zumba and Abs and Toning.

Fee: Ardsley Residents = $120, Non-residents = $140 for Pre K only (45 minute sessions)
        Ardsley Residents = $150, Non-residents = $170 for K-2, 3-5 & 6-8 (1 hour sessions)
 
Youth Basketball Development Program:  Basketball & Open Gym
Thursdays at Concord Rd Gym from 6 to 7 PM,

with ICamps 3D World Building Course
Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 PM at the Community Center, starting April 29 (no class May 27).
For 1st and 2nd Grades.
Fee: $300 for Ardsley Residents, $320 for Non-Village.
 
Minecraft Coding & Game Design: Coding with "Scratch" & Video Game Design with
the Minecraft Education Edition for Grades 2 - 4.
Get the most out of your child's screen time
by challenging them to think deeper about
the video games they play.

Fee: Ardsley Residents = $300, Non-residents = $320
 
After School Chess: Our popular Chess Program with Furqan Tanwir (aka Mr. Kan), World Chess Master ranked amongst the top 1% of competitive chess players in the world.  Classes are at the Ardsley Community Center. Maximum = 20 per class
Come and join other chess players and enjoy play, lessons and team problem solving.
SPRING Sessions:
Beginners/Novice Class: 4:45-5:30 PM, Thursdays, starting May 2
Novice/Intermediate Class: 3:45-4:30 PM, Tuesdays, starting May 7 
Intermediate/Advanced Class: 4:45-5:45 PM, Tuesdays, May 7

Sharpen driving skills, lower insurance premiums & reduce violation points.
Taught by Mary Ann DeToma, American Safety Inc.
Classes May 16th & 17th from 6 to 9 PM at the Community Center.
You must attend both sessions to receive credit ! 
Be on time, bring a pen AND your driver's license.
Fee: $25  
 
Spring Tennis Clinic:  Learn to play tennis at Pascone Park with Ayo Obi!  Tennis clinics will be held on Saturdays and Sundays for 6 weeks.  Starts Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28.  Classes are divided into age groups: ages 5-7 (9 to 10 AM), 8-10 (10 to 11 AM), and 11-teens (11 AM to 12 PM); Adult Beginners (12 to 1 PM) and Adult Intermediate/Advanced (1 to 2 PM).   
Each class size maximum = 8 participants.
Fee is $180 for Ardsley Resident, $230 for Non-Village.
Please remember to bring water bottles.
 
Fun, drop-in program for men and women ages 16 & up on Thursday nights,
from 7 to 9 PM at the Ardsley High School Small Gym, starting Dec 7th,
and Saturday mornings from 7 to 9 AM at the Ardsley High School Small Gym,
starting Nov 4th.
Fee is $80 for Ardsley Resident, $100 for Non-Village
